Nowadays, almost any actor who has any degree of standing has been a part of some kind of a comic book movie. Unlike the past, the comic book movie genre is no longer considered to be an inferior or demeaning stream. In fact, it has now become the most lucrative genre and many of the most successful films ever have been a part of the superhero genre (films like The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron-Man 3, Captain America: Civil War, The Dark Knight Rises, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, all feature in the list of twenty highest earning films ever).
It is no longer like the days when Pamela Anderson and Shaquille O’Neal were passed off as actors cast to play characters in such movies. The comic book films now feature a vast list of Oscar-winning performers such as Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeff Bridges, Christian Bale, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Sally Field, Holly Hunter, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Natalie Portman, Jared Leto, J.K. Simmons, Marisa Tomei, Anna Paquin, Jennifer Connelly, Cate Blanchett, Nicolas Cage, Brie Larson, Tommy Lee Jones, Tilda Swinton, Benicio del Toro, Anne Hathaway and Chris Cooper etc. While this is a highly impressive list, it doesn’t contain all the names, and then there are those talented actors who have got Oscar nominations, but, not won the award, and are not a part of this list.
The Hollywood A-listers are so keen to be a part of the comic book films these days that a lot of them have featured in films based on Marvel as well as DC comics, in fact, many of those listed above have done it or are about to do it (Affleck, Berry, Portman, Simmons, and Jones).
Keeping that in mind, here we present 15 actors who have either been a part of Marvel movies or TV shows and now that they are not a part of Marvel, they should play the DC characters that we suggest below.
