16 Incredibly Funny Justice League Memes

While superhero films were being made even before 2008 and some of them were incredibly successful too, it is the arrival of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that changed the landscape of the superhero genre. Just like the comic books, the superheroes started existing in a shared universe where they all were more like comrades, rather than stories depicting them as solo saviors of the world. The formula became incredibly successful, and DC felt compelled to respond.

In what was apparently a well-aimed strategy, just like how Iron-Man launched MCU, Man of Steel launched DCEU. However, the film received only moderate success before the highly slammed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made critics term DCEU as a failure. The reason why they had to make Justice League wasn’t due to some excitement, but, it was DC’s endeavor to put up some mighty competition to The Avengers. The two superhero teams were supposed to take on each other at the box office as well as for the Rotten Tomatoes reviews. Well, Justice League came, and the failure of the movie has compelled DCEU to change its strategy as well as personnel in some cases. The film had half-cooked CGI and a tone which didn’t sync with the overall tone of the shared universe. Despite the creator of The Avengers, Joss Whedon giving finishing touches to it, Justice League didn’t work out.
