The success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had to be responded by DC, and they launched the DC Extended Universe with a compact, but, partly erratic Man of Steel. However, instead of benefiting from its success, the nascent DCEU started to slide down. Batman v Superman had a very uninspiring tone, and it disappointed scores of fans, and despite being slightly more enjoyable, even Suicide Squad failed to charm the critics.
Therefore, by the time the Wonder Woman lined up to release in theatres, the studio execs had become panicky.
However, Wonder Woman did much better than what anyone could have expected it to. Audiences, who had not been sure of seeing a Wonder Woman movie, had no cause to worry because the film was a smash hit.
Wonder Woman didn’t follow the dark theme of the earlier DCEU movies. On the contrary, it went on to show a hero who was positive, a Goddess who believed in love and humanity. Wonder Woman fought for humans because it was the right thing to do, and is sure and unrelenting. Diana jumped into the Great War and made us believe that she was capable of stopping it.
Gal Gadot added a great deal of charisma to the role. Her charm and honesty was something that has not been seen since a long time. Wonder Woman is Gal Gadot or vice versa, and she is truly the lady with a golden heart.
While there is no doubt that Wonder Woman was awesome, but, there are concept art pieces which showed the film to be much different and nothing like what we eventually got. Let us take a look at these Wonder Woman concept art designs that are better than the actual movie.
