Fortunes can change and how! Little over a decade ago, Marvel stared at a financial crisis and then the Marvel Studios came out with the ambitious plans to make a film based on the Marvel Comics superhero Iron-Man. The success of Iron-Man not only earned a fair bit of money for the franchise but, also set in motion, a novel concept of shared superhero universe, known to us as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Just like all other leading franchises, MCU characters have also been depicted in myriad settings. Vast fandoms follow the adventures of the superheroes on various media ranging from comics to the big screen.
Fan re-imaginations are not a novelty, but, the trend of giving hipster look is a more recent phenomenon among the fans. The hipsterverse is on the rise, and it has led to numerous hipster stories and fan art. Various younger superheroes in comics already have a hipster touch to their costumes, and these fan artists turn them into full-fledged hipsters. They also undertake massive redesigns of the iconic superheroes, especially those who are not in sync with pop culture, such as the good old Steve Rogers.
We are not aiming to define the fan art here, but, giving a glimpse into the fandom and the kind of creativity that is going around. Many of these are not technically fan arts as they were drawn by paid professional artists. These include not just the MCU characters, but, Marvel comics characters as well.
These might contain some of the MCU plot points, so in case you are wary of spoilers, tread carefully.
