The comic book readers have been familiar with them for several decades now, but, for those who don’t read the comics or Marvel Comics to be more accurate, The Avengers have been completely unfamiliar characters. To be honest, The Avengers were so obscure that unlike Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman, there had never been any big-screen portrayal of the superheroes from Marvel comics, barring the universally popular Spider-Man who has been probably the only Marvel character to be famous among the movie audiences before the arrival of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Things changed a little over a decade ago when Robert Downey Jr. famously announced: “I am Iron-Man.” The original Iron-Man (2008), not only established the Marvel Cinematic Universe but, also built the foundation for the big screen arrival of The Avengers and they eventually made their way to the theaters in the 2012 blockbuster The Avengers.
Earlier this year, the biggest superhero team of Marvel Cinematic Universe returned to the theaters along with their allies from all corners of the shared superhero universe, but, the hard truth is that event these handsome superheroes haven’t escaped the age of puberty. If you think hard, you might recall having seen some of the beloved heroes appear on screen during those awkward years, such as Scarlett Johansson in Home Alone 3. While there are various photos which might shock you, we have previously shown you how the Avengers would have looked if they had stayed true to the comic books. However, are you ready to see Captain America sporting bowl-cut and braces? Here we present to you some of your beloved Avengers from a time when they were not into saving planet Earth.
