Here Are Some Mind-Blowing Deleted/Unused MCU Scenes That Would Have Changed Everything

Back in 2008, the MCU came into existence with the Iron-Man. The landmark film introduced S.H.I.E.L.D. and also had a reference to Captain America’s shield, apart from featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. However, the full-fledged shared universe was set up with The Incredible Hulk, a film that had a surprise appearance by Robert Downey Jr. in the closing scenes. Soon, the universe expanded by the debuts of Black Widow, Thor, Hawkeye and Captain America. Things didn’t stop there as Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy also arrived in the next few movies.

After ten years and twenty films that were intertwined with each other, we have come to love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, there were certain sequences from these movies that were deleted or ignored or else things could have been very different. Here, we will take a look at some of them.

The fight between Hawkeye and Captain America

In the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it didn’t take long before Steve Rogers was mired in a conspiracy and trying to run away from S.H.I.E.L.D. He was seen in a civilian dress, merging with the crowds. However, that was due to a reason because Captain scrapped his uniform in the script.

Despite it never getting filmed, this was to be a scene where Alexander Pierce tasked Hawkeye to chase Captain. But, Clint pretended to fight with the Captain, and in the process, informing Steve how he was being tracked due to his suit. That is why Captain had to get rid of his costume. However, the archer was missing from the film.

The extended vision of Thor

In the movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor relied on his friend Erik Selvig to locate the Water of Sights and find out about the vision induced by Scarlet Witch in the movie. Thor briefly saw the Infinity Stones, and that led him to help in creating Vision. However, the extended version of the scene showed the Norns talk to Selvig, using Thor as a conduit. It is explained that the Avengers can beat Ultron, but, with a human sacrifice and give further details about the Mind Stone contained in Loki’s staff.

Ultron builds a vibranium body for himself

In the trailers of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ultron was shown forging a smoldering new body for himself. However, this scene was not a part of the final cut of the movie. Upon his first appearance, he was made up of various unused pieces of the Iron Legion, and in the next, he was fully formed.

However, to see Ultron forge his first body would have been fascinating. Ultron is one character that was not properly utilized, according to a lot of people. He was capable of more villainy and to see how the newly born Ultron fabricated a body for himself, might have been just the thing that could have established Ultron as a popular villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bucky and the commandos are held captive

In his debut movie Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers is sent on a mission to infiltrate the Hydra-controlled territory to save Bucky Barnes and the other members of his company. However, there was a deleted scene that had shown how Bucky was abducted by Hydra.

That scene would have introduced Dum Dum Dugan and the other Howling Commandos much sooner in the movie and showed Captain America’s allies in a much different way. Also, this scene would have featured the risk posed by the Tesseract-powered arsenal of Hydra.

Vision fights with the Avengers

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, when Vision was born, Thor threw him towards a window, and he then joined the Avengers. However, there was a complete fight scene which showed Vision take on the Avengers after his birth. Vision had fought against Thor, Captain America, and Iron-Man, and displayed the range of his powers.

This could have been a great scene to reveal Vision’s complete set of powers to the audiences, from the outset. These included his flight, ability to phase through solids, blast a mighty laser beam, and fight with the strength of Thor. Also, this scene would have revealed why Vision had formed an armor and cape to take on Thor in battle.

Captain Marvel is a new Avenger

At the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Captain America, and Black Widow were walking towards the new Avengers recruits: Scarlet Witch, Falcon, War Machine, and Vision. We all saw them in the film, either in minor or major roles, and that helped establish them as members of the Avengers towards the end of the film.

However, at one point, Captain Marvel was also set to be introduced in that scene. The character was going to be a surprise inclusion, and by involving her with Phase 2, the Phase 3 of Marvel would have looked much different. There is no idea how Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War would have been if a character as strong as Captain Marvel was already there.
