Russia DENIES hitting Ukrainian capital, Kyiv with airstrikes yesterday

RUSSIA has DENIED hitting Ukrainian capital, Kyiv with airstrikes yesterday (November 23rd). The Russian Defence Ministry on Thursday (November 24) denied its forces had launched missile strikes against targets in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Wednesday (November 23) night. Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov confirmed Russian missiles had struck what he said were a number of military and infrastructure targets in Ukraine but not in Kyiv. Konashenkov claimed the new destruction in Kyiv was caused by stray Ukrainian air defence missiles. "I want to emphasise that not a single strike was launched on targets in Kyiv. All the destruction announced by the Kyiv regime inside the city was caused by falling missiles launched by foreign and Ukrainian air defence systems deployed in residential areas of the Ukrainian capital," said Konashenkov.
