Superheroes are not a recent phenomenon. In fact, they were there even when we were growing up as well as during the years, the generation before us did. In fact, they have been around for as far back as the World War II. It all started with comic books featuring the Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man, etc. However, the world of superheroes as we see it today is vastly different from how it used to be a few decades back. Although, there were a few films and TV shows which depicted Superheroes in ways that were technologically or socially relevant back in time, the contemporary advancement in technology and movie making practices has reshaped the world of superheroes in Hollywood.

Just think about it, Let’s just go back by twenty years, and was it even imaginable for someone to think about sitting down in a theater and watching a film like Avengers: Infinity War? In fact, it would be a gross understatement to simply say that the movie features a big cast. Truth be told, the film was teeming with so many characters that Marvel couldn’t even find space for Jeremy Renner’s character Hawkeye in it. Despite being DC’s biggest, the Justice League can’t even compete with Infinity War. Having said that, no matter what you might think, there are even now many Hollywood biggies who have never put on a superhero costume or a cape. Yes, it is true that more and more superstars are joining the superhero world, but, it might still take another Phase or Two from MCU to feature the remaining.

Since the origin of mankind or let us at least say internet, fans have been indulging in fan casting of their beloved celebrities as superheroes on the big screen. Just imagine how often you would have read the argument about a particular actor or actress being ideal for this superhero or that. In fact, what is better than fan casting is to see fan imagination of a celebrity as a chosen superhero. Normally, the outcome is mind-blowing.
