Thanos vs. Odin: Who is stronger
Irrespective of how much we desire it, this battle is not going to be depicted on the big screen because Odin has already died in Marvel Cinematic Universe. But, if we had to speculate how a battle between these two will unfold, then the answer is going to be quite difficult to find. Let us take a look at both the warriors and find out who is stronger and can beat the other in a battle.

Thanos
Thanos is by far the strongest villain ever in Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is famous for prevailing over the entire universe. Thanos has powers like super strength, endurance, stamina, intelligence, energy manipulation, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, and longevity. As if that was not enough, Thanos also got all the six Infinity Stones and completed his Infinity Gauntlet, which gave him the power to wipe out the entire universe in one blow.

He is widely called as the Mad Titan, and his faithful call him Dark Lord. Thanos is a powerful cosmic warrior who rules a massive portion of far off universe. He not only has the powers mentioned above but, he also leads two massive armies called the Chitauri and the Outriders. Not only that he also has his loyal commanders known as Black Order comprising of Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian and Corvus Glaive. He also has Nebula and Gamora, his daughters. Using his Infinity Stones, he keeps all of them under check. Using his powers and their collective powers, he is capable of beating anyone in the entire Marvel Multiverse.

The All-Father
The son of Bestla and Bor (son of Buri) Odin Borson has three kids of his own (in the MCU version), Thor aka the God of Thunder, Loki aka the God of Mischief and Hela aka the Goddess of Death. Hela is the oldest of them, and Loki is the youngest adopted sibling. Odin also had two siblings Vili and Ve, but, the perished in the battle against Surtur while protecting Odin. Later Odin became the ruler of Asgard and stronger after his Godly powers were boosted by the powers of his dead brothers. In fact, Odin had created the humans during a trip to Midgard (Earth).

Odin has battled the Celestials on numerous occasions and has defeated Surtur, the Fire God. He has also battled the God Tempest and some other cosmic enemies after he ensured the rule of peace in the whole nine realms. He is unbelievably powerful and the King of Norse Gods who has great resistance to magic, diseases, toxins, and longevity provided by the Golden Apples of Idunn. Odin is stronger than his children.
He also commands a massive energy source known as The Odin Force. Odin Force gives him additional powers such as creating force fields, illusions, levitation, energy blasts, reshaping molecules, telepathy, hypnotism, commanding thunder, and teleportation. In the past, he has done things like bringing time to a stop, transferring the whole human race to another dimension, and fighting Galactus. With his Odin Force, Odin is not someone that anyone would want to face in a battle.

Thanos vs. Odin
However, the Odin in Marvel Cinematic Universe is a pale shadow of his comic book self. They cast a fantastic actor to play the role, but, they showed him as super old, and nearing death in the movies. Therefore, those movie viewers who are not familiar with the Marvel Comics, have no clue about Odin’s powers. However, even Thanos is not fully depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, therefore, they are both comparatively unknown commodities to the viewers. If they ever battled each other, they might end up destroying the entire Marvel Universe.
In fact, Odin with his Odin Force is much more powerful than Thanos as we know how the Odin Force lets him do mind-boggling stuff. However, Thanos is no pushover either. He once held captive half of the universe, and he didn’t even have the Infinity Gauntlet back then. In case, he has the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet at his disposal, even Odin Force won’t be of much effect against him. So, it is clear that Odin can beat Thanos only if the Mad Titan doesn’t have his Infinity Gauntlet, or else, the result would be the other way round.
